Divided into two teams guests are issued army jackets and choice their favourite blasters before heading to one of the two battle zones to guard their camp, hunt the escaped prisoners, protect the president and defend the secret radar.
Nerf Shooting Range
The range helps develop team’s skills and personal skills such as hand eye co-ordination and team work.
Camouflage & Concealment
A fun exercise, which teaches children how to use natural foliage and the environment to avoid detection. Will you be able to creep up on the staff to win a prize!
One of the oldest skills know to man used for hunting and battle. More exciting than the average fixed point range children will stalk through the woods to find their targets.
Children will build a variety of improvised survival shelters using natural materials they gather from the land. Mini shelters are the perfect tool to demonstrate these skills.
One of the most important bushcraft and survival skills. You will be taught its many uses and methods of lighting both modern and ancient.
Having established a fire this is an opportunity to learn some backwoods cooking skills. These may include smoking meats and root vegetable ember cooking. All guests cook a sausage on a stick for their lunch.
Traps and snares
An activity for the older guests. Our Bushcraft experts teach a variety of technics which the children will get a chance to practise.
Popular with our younger guests. After gathering fur cones, sticks, leafs, stones, mud and much more from the woods and meadow it’s back to the art tent to let their creative minds take over.
A variety of fun team and individual games played in the meadow by all ages.
Our day camps are suitable for children turning 6. They must be in Year 1 at school or about to start in September. Unfortunately we do not accommodate children starting reception or below.
We run camps during most school holidays. Please note that there will be no late stay.
Easter Camp dates 9th-12th and 15th-18th. Bookings are now being taken.
If the date does not show then it is already fully booked!
At present we do not accept childcare vouchers.
Please note: All bookings are non-refundable. If you wish to alter your booking within 10 days of your date there will be a £10 charge per child, per day.

Meals consist of a pork sausage in a roll that the children will cook over the campfire, along with a snack hamper filled with doughnuts, cookies, crisps and fruit. Water is available at all times for the children to drink. If your child wants to bring his or her own lunch to camp then we are happy to store that appropriately. We can cater for most dietary requirements with notice.
Please dress for outdoor activities, with long trousers, trainers or walking shoes. Wellies are not ideal and crocs/sandals are not permitted. Any guest wearing these will not be able to partake! As appropriate please provide waterproof jacket, sweatshirt or fleece, sun hat, sun cream, spare clothing etc.
We are an outdoor company but have covered areas for some activities. Rain rarely stops play!
You’re welcome to stay and watch your children play. There is limited seating and covered areas.
Rugged Earth Adventures Staff
Main activity staff are DBS/CRB checked and are selected for their professionalism and enthusiasm. A paediatric first aider and a first aid kit are on site at all times. We use the Scout Movement handbook as a safety guideline.
Safety & Security
This is our first and last concern. The Camp takes place on fenced private land, children are supervised at all times. All staff are briefed on emergency and incident procedures and qualified first aid staff are on site at all times. Full instructions are given to all children before activities are undertaken. Activities take place over rough natural ground and although we take every precaution to ensure safe play, trips and bumps may occur. REA takes care to ensure all activities are in keeping with the environmental policies of the area. Rugged Earth Adventures holds full public liability insurance.
We are not responsible for children that do not adhere to staff briefing and instructions.

I've left some lost property!
REA keeps everything that is left behind for 4 weeks. Please call the office if you have left something behind.
Any items brought to REA are done so at the owners risk.
Do you do anything for schools?
REA is happy to host a day for a school trip to come and play Nerf games, partake in bushcraft activities and a cook a campfire lunch. Please contact the office for more details.
Do you do adult parties?
We can host adult parties. Please contact the office for more details.
Can I join in?
Adults can partake in a few games on the battlefield if they would like to, it’s not a requirement but we can play a game involving parents. One of the best opportunities to get some payback!
Do as an adult have to stay during the party?
We are happy for you to leave the kids with us and go to the cafe etc but one adult has to remain within the vicinity of the garden center. If you do stay we provide limited undercover seating. This is for parties only.
Can I bring a cake / balloons / extra snacks?
Please bring a cake which you will bring out at the end of the campfire cooking. REA staff will gather the children together to sing, you bring the cake out, and then we open the snack hamper to give you a chance to cut up the cake. We discourage balloons and decorations as we are an outdoor company and they may fly away! Extra snacks can be brought for the children or parents, a table can be supplied for you.

As host you need to bring the emergency contact form, found here, and a birthday cake, everything else is provided.
As host parent, please ensure all parents of children attending the party have received the Guest Information document, which contains imperative pre-party details, e.g. dress code, location and contacts.
